Welcome to our charming eco-renovated cottage located in the heart of the Ardennes, between Bouillon, Florenville, and Neufchâteau, near the Semois River and on the edge of the large Herbeumont forest.

Built in the early 20th century, our stone house has a long history. Situated close to the front during the Battle of Neufchâteau in August 1914, it has served as a grocery store and family home, and later became the residence of the village schoolmaster, Mr. José Collard. We chose to name it "L'Ecole Buissonnière" in reference to the nearby school, the schoolmaster, and also to the spirit of freedom that this name evokes.

The house has been fully eco-renovated with the aim of using as many natural and ecological materials as possible (wood wool, clay, cork, cellulose) to ensure a healthy and comfortable living environment. Our cottage is also equipped with rainwater collection tanks to avoid using drinking water for the toilets, washing machine, and garden irrigation.

Activities & Leisure: Possibility of guided walks with a nature guide. Opportunity to enjoy local cuisine through a local caterer.
